Exploring the Wonders of Science: A Recap of Science Day Celebrations at CARE
As part of the National Science Day festivities, CARE International School proudly presented “CARE INNOVATES ’24”, a day brimming with scientific exploration and excitement. The event featured a plethora of competitions tailored for students from Grade 1 to 8, all aimed at nurturing curiosity and fostering a passion for scientific inquiry.
The youngest members of our school community, the primary students, delved into the fascinating realm of “Landforms”. With enthusiasm and creativity, they showcased their comprehension of various landforms through art, craft, models, and videos. Their presentations were not only informative but also captivating, captivating their audience with speeches, dances, and songs related to the theme. Witnessing these young minds unleash their learning in such a magical way was truly a sight to behold, as they explored everything from deserts to mountains, oceans to plains, and forests.
Meanwhile, our middle school students embarked on their own learning journey through activities such as elocution, extempore speaking, and debates. However, the highlight of the event was the innovative approach to gamifying science. Students were challenged to navigate through various scientific puzzles and challenges, requiring them to apply their knowledge and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging manner. From robot sumo wrestling to designing paper planes for maximum airtime, and from constructing bridges to building towering structures, the students immersed themselves in hands-on activities that brought science to life in thrilling ways.
Overall, “CARE INNOVATES ’24” was a resounding success, leaving both participants and spectators inspired by the boundless possibilities of scientific exploration and innovation. It was a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of scientists, thinkers, and innovators.
