Here's a sneak peek into how IIMUN is conducted @CARE International School
CARE proudly presented the Model United Nations offering Leadership Training and Global Exposure Conference in association with IIMUN, for the 7th year in a row. The event was held on 1st to 3rd December at our school. Close to 170 delegates from various schools in and around Trichy, Thanjavur, Mettupalayam, Dindigul and Salem participated in this Mega event.
The students were divided into various committees and each had an agenda to deliberate and discuss. The committees’ agenda include discussion on education policy, relook at reservation policies, advancement in Indian Space programs, Human Rights Violations in Afghanistan, Reducing Cyber Crime amongst teenagers, UN peace corps roles, and resolving global debt.
It’s not just a debating competition but more of understanding how world diplomacy works and how nations work with each other to solve local and global issues. It focuses on verbal and non-verbal communication skills, leadership activities, current affairs discussions, and the study of international organizations.
Mrs. Jayashree Chandramohan, Mrs India winner, Model and Fitness therapist, was the inaugural day chief guest. And our CEO Mr. Prative Chend presided over the valedictory award day. CARE International School won the “Overall Best Delegation Award ” for the year 23-24..
