The Sports Day at CARE International School was a grand celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and
school spirit, held on 02nd August, a vibrant morning that brought together students, teachers, and
parents for an unforgettable event. The entire school came alive with energy, as participants from
all grades showcased their physical prowess in a wide array of sports and games.
Mr Sunil Pattanayak, Retd General Manager of Ordinance Factories and Our very own Advisor and former Principal Mrs. Gita Pattanayak adorned the stage as chief guest of the day.
The event kicked off with an impressive march-past led by the school’s Head Girl
followed by the lighting of the torch, symbolizing the spirit of fair play and competition. The
chief guest’s inspiring speech set the tone for the day, emphasizing the importance of sports in
developing discipline, resilience, and camaraderie among students.
Kindergartner students and primary students showcased drills, middle and high school students performed an impressive bamboo drill and flower drills. The event also saw the athletic prowess of the students in 100, 200 and 4*100 meters relay.
The Sun House won the March past trophy and overall championship of the event.
Annual Sports Day 2024 will undoubtedly inspire students to continue striving for excellence in all
aspects of their lives.
