Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well being. Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga Day.
— Narendra Modi, UN General Assembly
Yoga is a part and parcel of Indian life and tradition. Our forefathers have been practicing yoga and teaching the same to future generations. Now, even the world recognizes the importance of Yoga- a balanced mind, body and soul. Yoga is practiced in our school every Wednesday. It is an integral part of our school activities. Children are regularly given practice in yoga and encouraged to take part in various Yoga competitions. This year also, we at Care International School, celebrated the world Yoga day on 21st June, 2018. The children along with their teachers, practiced yoga, under the guidance and mentor ship of yoga instructors, which was followed by a pledge that students will make yoga as an integral part of their daily life.
